What does remoteconfigure do?
Simply:
RemoteConfigure enables you to change the behavior of the remote that came packaged with your Haupphauge TV card.
Specifically:
It modifies the irremote.ini file directly to add new applications and allows you to add to, subtract from or modify those application's defintions.
What remotes are supported?
- HCWClassic (21 buttons)
- HCWPVR (34 buttons)
- HCWPVR2 (45 buttons)
What is an Application definition?

What is an Application Schema?
An application schema is a combination of the Application name and the application's button mappings.
What are button mappings?
A button mapping is an assignment of a particular button to a particular command.
example:
8=[command]
What is a command?
Any combination of characters recognized by the ir.exe application as a keyword or instruction.
What is ir.exe?
This is the application that acts on the infra-red signals received by the infra-red remote control receiver. This is possibly interpreted directly by ir.exe or a separate driver application.
